MINNIE
Minnie is the new addition to the clan. She is a lovely wee working bitch half seppala, quarter anadyr & quarter zero.
I am sure my friends think i am mad getting another pup so soon after keeping two pups from my litter but my heart usually rules my head and i can honestly say that it has never steered me wrong in my 40 years on this earth.
I only work part-time so have lots of time for my dogs, although even i have to admit teaching three pups at once how to have good manners and commands etc will definately test my abilities.
The reasons i bought Minnie are:
first and foremost i wanted a pup from Callums pack.
Second, to add to my working lines in the pack and hopefully have a nice bitch who will either be level with Kia & Rogue or eventually surpas them in working.
Third, to learn from a different linage.
Minnie is already a mummy's girl and has fitted into the pack already,in fact she bullies all the older dogs. Kia is like a mother hen around her and Rogue let's her do anything to her, so it is looking good for the future.
Mini 7 months on in my pack
I have recently ran Mini with Rogue round a 3 mile track, she was amazing, she kept step with Rogue all round the course appart from one downhill area. She did not let up, it was amazing just watching them run in sync on their first time training together. I know i have an amazing wee girl here, i hope i don't get the bug for purely working lines as at the moment i can appreciate the difference in build of all shapes and sizes and each day i am learning the pro's and con's, difference in stamina, movement etc that is created by having a different shape & linage.
I tried running tanny & Mini together, Tanny is five months older than Mini and with a season of training under her belt, yet Mini is faster and has already picked up her commands. When we were out training at Glendevon there was a little ice and snow, Mini had the sense to lead Tanny onto the snow avoiding the ice and she was the one who reacted to my commands and drive Tanny the correct way (what a girl, amazing).
