FALCOR (SHIMANI FARID OF WELLDALECOTE)

Falcor came to us in April 2006 from Malinda Thomas.  He was the only boy in our pack until 23rd September 2009 and is the dog that i predominately show.  Although he is not the fastest in front of a rig and not the best at listening to commands, he loves to run.  He is part of my son Conner's team who currently runs in the D classes.  Falcor is one of the first to stand to get his harness on and has proven that he is a descent wheel dog.

Falcor is a great show dog, he loves strutting his stuff but unfortunately he is not too good with other male dogs as he was attacked by an older dog when he was six months.  Although this is a major hangup when showing as i need to make sure i retain his attention 100% to avoid any disputes, he is a total softy when it comes to people and females and loves rolling around with the family and has shown his playfulness side towards the pups and other females in our household.

Falcor has gained his stud number and a reserve green star.  Throughout his show career he has been placed highly by both breed specialists and all rounders, however over the last year some breed specialists have found him a little heavy in bone for their liking but they cannot place fault anywhere else.  As i now have a new male pup to introduce into showing, it will be interesting to see whether he takes over from Falcor in the showring or whether  Falcor can attain the coveted CC's/Green Star's that i know he can achieve.

I have not showed Falcor for over a year and a half as i wanted to concentrate on training and showing the pups.  His first show back was the SSHC  April Open show where he won reserve best in show, he has since won 3 BoB's, Group1, Group2, Group4 a reserve CC and various 1st placings.
